|What are you full of?|
Gratefulness and selfishness have one commonality in them and that is they are each full of something.
I’ll tell you through personal experience, it’s more natural to be hateful than it is to be grateful in my humanness.
There have been people who have walked in and out of your life that promised to help you along through seasons of hardship. What they don’t know is that their leadership hurt you more than helped you. It left you in a tattered state of mind feeling like you need to get even. I caution you to stop and choose gracious gratitude.
“I’m truly thankful that The Lord showed me the leadership I need in my life. Thank you Lord for allowing me to feel everything in that season of life so deeply because I know it is preparing me for where you and I are headed. Thank you for allowing me to learn great life lessons at a young age because I know they will come in ‘clutch’ in the future.”
Sometimes we hate the season of life that we are in because we feel we have no authority to the things against us.
The truth: We have authority because HE gives it to us.
(I LOVE THIS!!!!) Matthew 19:26 “Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
We have this strange power over what we feel possesses, oppresses, and even depresses us because he died in order for us to be yielded with the power to make it through these seasons of hardship.
You’re sitting in your home, at work, or anywhere with your phone or computer reading this looking for a solution to the season you’ve embarked on. I can’t tell you how to do it because it has to be your own journey with Jesus that leads YOU to freedom. I can only speak the truth of what worked for me. Seek God the entire time the enemy seeks you. Don’t give the enemy the time of day. Focus on Jesus 100%.
I had a leader tell me once “The easiest thing in the world is to be distracted.” It’s true friends.
If the enemy can get you to look at YOU and not what God can do through your circumstance, he has already won. Focus on God and how he has this in his hands. He is still God so he hasn’t handed it off to you to figure out on your own. God is in control even when you are not.
When we step into a situation or season that makes our hair stand on end at least twice a day, let us not just GO through. Let us rise up and GROW through it. Allow every moment to make you stronger. Allow yourself to feel it all. Take it in and allow yourself to release everything you feel onto your heavenly father who calms the raging storms, even the ones inside of us.
He made you with purpose, on purpose, for a purpose. Never disregard your journey because the destination is not in sight yet. It’s just beginning friend. You and God got this.
In all seasons, at all times, throughout every trial, choose Gracious Gratitude.
Until next time,
